What is scott frost?

Scott Frost is an American football coach and former player. He was born on January 4, 1975, in Wood River, Nebraska. Frost is best known for his time as a quarterback for the University of Nebraska, where he led the Cornhuskers to an undefeated season and a share of the national championship in 1997.

After his successful college career, Frost played in the NFL from 1998 to 2003, primarily as a safety and special teams player. He played for several teams, including the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After his playing career, Frost transitioned into coaching. He held various assistant coaching positions, including stints at Northern Iowa, Oregon, and Kansas State. He gained significant recognition as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Oregon, where he helped develop a high-powered offense.

Frost's first head coaching job came at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2016. He achieved remarkable success at UCF, leading the Knights to an undefeated 13-0 season in 2017, including a victory in the Peach Bowl. This success brought him back to Nebraska as the head coach, a position he held from 2018 until 2022. His tenure at Nebraska, however, was challenging, as the team struggled to achieve a winning record during his time there.

Frost has been noted for his offensive acumen and ability to develop quarterbacks. His return to Nebraska as head coach was highly anticipated by fans, but consistent on-field success proved elusive during his tenure.
